Job Description
BMS Family Health and Wellness Centers seeks a Lead Gynecologist to provide high-quality OB/GYN care and clinical leadership in our Brooklyn, NY health center. The Lead Gynecologist will deliver comprehensive outpatient gynecologic and limited obstetric services, oversee standards of care, and mentor providers within a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient gynecologic and limited obstetric care to adolescents and adults.
- Serve as clinical lead for gynecology, setting and monitoring standards of care and best practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and support physicians, mid-level providers, and clinical staff.
- Collaborate with primary care, behavioral health, and dental teams to coordinate patient-centered care.
- Participate in quality improvement, risk management, and clinical protocol development.
- Perform gynecologic procedures such as colposcopy, biopsies, and minor office-based interventions.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation in the EHR and adherence to compliance standards.
- Engage in community health initiatives, outreach, and patient education focused on women's health.
- Contribute to on-call or shared coverage schedules as needed for continuity of care.
- Support training, education, and professional development activities within the OB/GYN service.
