Job Description
Parkview Health is actively seeking a dedicated NICU Specialist to join our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to enhance the care quality and health outcomes in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. As a NICU Specialist at Parkview Health, you will work closely with neonatal physicians, nurse practitioners, and other health professionals to provide specialized health care services to neonates with varying degrees of illnesses and premature conditions. You will play a critical role in managing complex medical issues and ensuring the survival and health of these vulnerable patients through state-of-the-art technology, personalized care plans, and compassionate healthcare.
Responsibilities
- Provide critical care to newborns who are seriously ill or require special care due to prematurity, illness, or medical conditions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments based on neonatal response.
- Educate parents and families on neonatal conditions and care requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive patient records and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives.
