Job Description
Hopedale Medical Complex seeks a compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to support therapists in delivering high-quality rehabilitation across our hospital, clinic, and senior living settings. You will implement treatment plans, guide patients through therapeutic exercises, monitor progress, and document outcomes in the EMR. Collaborating closely with PTs, nurses, and other care team members, you'll help patients regain mobility and independence. This role thrives in our close-knit, rural, community-focused environment, emphasizing personalized care and long-term patient relationships.
Responsibilities
- Implement PT treatment plans under supervision of licensed Physical Therapists
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, gait, and balance training
- Assist with patient transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices
- Monitor and document patient progress and responses in the EMRCommunicate patient status and concerns with PTs, nurses, and care team members
- Educate patients and families on home exercises and safety recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and readiness of rehab equipment and treatment areas
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards in all care settings
