ENVIRONMENT : South Peninsula Hospital is a combined 22 bed critical access hospital and 28 bed long-term care facility. The ED is a nine-bed unit, which provides emergency services 24 hours per day. There are nine exam rooms including one large two-bed room set up for trauma and CODE situations. The working environment is generally pleasant, clean and well maintained. Most work is performed inside. This position requires walking, standing for extended periods of time, sitting, bending, reaching, stooping, and the ability to lift 50 pounds without injury to self or others. This position has a Category I Risk of exposure to bio-hazardous materials. Persons in this position are exposed to infectious diseases, falls and muscle strains. Working hours and days may fluctuate based on the demands of the department and hospital.
