The Cardiac Step-Down Unit is a 14 bed unit organized to facilitate care of the following patient populations: patients admitted for cardiac catheterization, elective coronary interventional procedures including PTCA, stent, atherectomy, electrophysiology testing and/or ablation, elective electrical cardioversion, permanent cardiac pacemaker or AICD implantation. Anticipated length of stay for these patients is less than 48 hours. The unit provides expert quality care to patients utilizing an interdisciplinary collaborative approach in an effort to return the patient to their highest level of wellness. This unit is committed to providing healthcare that is unmatched in quality, convenience that is patient/family centered. We are a drug free facility.
