The Respiratory Therapist for Respiratory Care is responsible for providing diagnostic and therapeutic clinical interventions per a physician’s order, prescription and by established protocols. The Respiratory Therapist responds to code situations in the hospital, is responsible for the airway management of the patient, blood gas analysis, and ECG monitoring; sets up and manages devices such as non-invasive ventilation, mechanical ventilators, therapeutic aerosol nebulizers, and oxygen systems; performs diagnostic tests such as electrocardiograms, pulmonary function tests, and arterial blood gas analysis; and is a vital member of the patient’s interdisciplinary care team working closely with nursing and other clinical staff members. This position has a strong focus on pulmonary function testing and may assist with other duties listed above. Requirements: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License issued by the WA Department of Health. Current BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications....
