The Patient Registrar is responsible for initiating the check in process for every patient. Complete, update and verify that the patient's demographical data is entered correctly and accurately. The Patient Registrar is responsible for completing all types or registration for Admission and Outpatient. Additional Responsibilities: Consistently demonstrate the ability to prioritize and completed all registrations types in an accurate and timely manner Appropriately meet and greet every guest with an immediate smile, eye contact, proper body language and an appropriate greeting Verify insurance coverage and benefits Obtain prior authorization and managed care referrals as appropriate Perform financial counseling as appropriate Accurately perform cashiering function including balancing the cash drawer daily Perform switch board duties as needed Set priorities for routine work flow and make allowances for special circumstances that may arise...
