Plant Operations Office Coordinator DESCRIPTION OF POSITION: Under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations, performs administrative duties requiring independent judgment and sound problem solving skills. Assists in planning, directing and coordinating of activities and meetings. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Maintain department and contract files. Answers telephone promptly and serves as departmental secretary. Responds to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies and members of the business community. Assists Director in monitoring operations and cost control. Gathers information regarding progress of work activities. Effectively presents information to top management. Documents time and attendance to include scheduling, corrections and prepares final pay reports each pay period. Obtains approvals and purchase of supplies and equipment for the department.
