Essential Functions: A student nurse intern is responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The intern must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and visitors. They must also be able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition or response to treatment. The intern may also perform unit clerical duties and computerized order entry procedures.
