Description
Our client, an established out-of-network medical billing company located in New Hyde Park Long Island, is seeking experienced medical billers with a strong work ethic and excellent communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Position is temp to hire in nature.
Responsibilities:
Review submitted claims for accuracy
Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies
Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
Utilize all available portals for claim information
Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary
Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed
Qualifications and skills required:
High school diploma
Minimum of 5 years medical billing experience
At least 1 year of Out-of-network billing experience
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
