Overview
A RESEARCH TECHNICIAN position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jared Rowe at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Our research focuses on the development of immune cells and the immune response to pediatric cancers. You will join a team of investigators leading these efforts in the academic environment, working at the bench, collaborating closely with scientists as well as clinical researchers. You will play an essential, and possibly leading, role in project-focused work.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of two years of availability. Candidates with laboratory technician experience and those potentially interested in a long term position are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research Technician
No supervisory responsibilities. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
Bachelor’s Degree required with a major in biology or chemistry preferred.
Typically requires no previous professional experience.
Learns and uses technical principles, processes, and concepts.
Applies Institute policies and procedures to resolve of limited scope.
Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
Builds stable working relationships internally.
