Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Performs various invasive procedures according to established protocols. Verifies physician order and relevant history in the chart and consults with the Radiologist for directions. Prepares and administers contrast medicine for patient exams according to Radiologist direction. Assists physicians with invasive procedures to patients of all ages, following department protocol. Appropriately processes, records and prepares radiologic test results for physician's interpretation on the procedure in the radiology information system and Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS). Cleans equipment after every patient. Stays motivated and thinks ahead to keep patients cared for in an efficient and timely manner. Ensures department is appropriately stocked with supplies and equipment is maintained in a clean, safe, and hazard-free manner. Maintains appropriate documentation for regulatory standards and the medical record while safeguarding patient confidentiality. Demonstrates safe operation and functionality of imaging equipment and devices and uses efficient use of resources. Scheduled Hours: 37.5 hr/wk Work Shift: Day Shift Education Required: Must be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and specialized training in additional modality of Interventional Radiology. Licenses, Registrations, Certifications Required: Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist and Technician Massachusetts Radiologic License (R). Must have ARRT registration (R). BCLS and ACLS required.
