Position Summary:

The Development Specialist – Writer will assist with all aspects of communication efforts of the Development Department, with a strong focus on writing, editing, and marketing.  Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to creation of articles, biographies, press releases, promotional material, and presentations.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have a four-year degree in communication, English/journalism, marketing, or public relations.  
  • Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role, in addition to an excellent command of the English language, strong grammatical, editing, oral communication, and organizational skills, with extreme attention to detail.  
  • The ability to prioritize and organize work effectively, while also exercising discretion, judgment and initiative are key skills necessary to this role.
  • Must demonstrate high competency with all Microsoft Office products.
  • Previous healthcare experience is a plus.
