General Description:
Under general direction supervises and coordinates the day-to-day operation of the laboratory department.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in biological science or medical technology OR qualifies as a Clinical Lab Scientist II, Cytotechnologist or Histotechnologist II
Experience: Five (5) years experience in a clinical laboratory setting.
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Based on assignment, a nationally recognized certification from the appropriate lab discipline may be required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of supervisory functions such as ability to solve client problems, performance improvement tools, etc. Computer literate. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must able to prioritize and manage several tasks at one time.
