Works under direct supervision of hospital pharmacists performing clerical tasks, drug distribution activities, computerized order entry, and other medication management duties as authorized by the Iowa Board of Pharmacy Examiner’s laws, rules and regulations. Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist. May measure, mix, and count out, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications. May review and document patient’s arrival medication assuring appropriate dose, route, frequency and duration of therapy.
Qualifications:
Maintains valid licensure/certification/registration
Registered by Iowa Board of Pharmacy
Certification required within one year of hire (at employee’s expense)
