Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) Provides timely and accurate information to patients, medical personnel, attorneys and others who call on the telephone to request information. Must have the ability to adapt to a variety of responsibilities. Duties include but not limited to pre-certifying with insurance companies, filing, scheduling, performing office based procedures, communicating with other members of the healthcare team, maintaining records using the Electronic Health Record system, processing patient specimens, and providing direct patient care. Will assist providers with procedures in office. May assist physicians in the operating room.
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Assess patient health problems and needs and maintain medical records. May work under the supervision of a registered nurse. Assists the medical provider in the care and treatment of patients. May assist physician or physician assistant with patients.
Registered Nurse (RN) Delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation in coordination with other health team members. Effectively interacts with the patient, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining high standards of professional nursing. May dictate discharge summaries as directed by supervising physician. Assess patient health problems and needs, develop and implement nursing care plans, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill, injured, convalescent, or disabled patients. May advise patients on health maintenance and disease prevention or provide case management.
Qualifications:
Must maintain current licensure.
