Clinical Laboratory Assistant Lead Fast-paced, high energy Lab department is looking for a top skilled Clinical Lab Assistant.  Is that you? Work location: Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, Texas 75231 Work hours: Sunday-Tuesday 10:00am-10:00pm, Wednesday 4:00pm-10:00pm Lab Department highlights: Quickly growing CAP accredited Laboratory Great atmosphere Supportive peers and leadership Focus on quality Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or Equivalent Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency One year experience as a phlebotomist or completion of a one semester course in phlebotomy PBT(ASCP) – Phlebotomy Technician upon hire preferred 3 years of phlebotomy experience and/or ER phlebotomy experience preferred. What You Will Do Performs daily review of results from the department For those entities performing phlebotomy; employee follows laboratory procedure for specimen collection, patient identification and labeling as appropriate for the age of the patient Follows laboratory procedures for handling, and processing in a manner which is appropriate and follows safety guidelines Follows laboratory procedures for handling unacceptable specimens Follows established laboratory test procedures Performs procedures in other areas of the Laboratory as required by hospital entity Entity Highlight For more than a half-century, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas has been at the forefront of health care in North Texas.
