Dual reporting to the Director of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity, and the Director of Inclusion and Workforce Development, the Program Manager supports the development and execution of the organization's Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity (IDE) and Workforce Development Programs through relationship building, talent sourcing, research, and program management. This position's work location is partial remote with 2 - 3 days a week on campus in Boston, MA. The selected candidate may only work remotely from a New England state (ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI). External Partnerships/Sponsorships Research and develop strategic partnerships, conferences, events, and sponsorship opportunities with community organizations, national/regional/local affinity-based organizations, and other entities in the Boston area and beyond, whose core functions align and support the mission, vision, and core values of the institute. Elevate the visibility, brand, and reputation of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and of our Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity & Workforce Development Program through the cultivation and management of strategic partnerships. Attend and connect the workforce to sponsorship programs as appropriate, including networking events that provide professional enrichment. Refine outreach strategies to increase awareness and participation of Dana-Farber BIPOC employees in existing educational and leadership development programs. Research new external professional development program opportunities that complement internal programs with the goal of increasing morale and retention, building better teams, and training future Dana-Farber Cancer Institute leaders. Partner with colleges, universities, HBCUs, and other external organizations that serve historically underrepresented groups to support talent pipeline efforts aimed at increasing the diversity of the workforce. Create and implement marketing and communications materials in support of efforts. Deepen and manage the Institutes’ current relationships. Manage operational activities such as sponsorship invoice processing and procurement requirements. Workforce Development Alumni Engagement Create a strategy and infrastructure to better enable and manage Workforce Development alumni engagement. Oversight of alumni engagement efforts including coordinating of events and services, marketing, and communications, and administering annual surveys. Serve as the liaison between staff and Alumni Planning Committee. Partner with Talent Acquisition to identify a structure and process that prepare Workforce Development alumni for employment opportunities at the Institute. Minimum undergraduate degree, Masters preferred. Business, education, social work, marketing, communications, or a similar field preferred and/or equivalent education and experience combination. 4+ years of professional work experience that includes talent management, diversity, Human Resources, or related field. Demonstrated success at cultivating strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and creating partnerships at all levels within the organization to achieve results. Experience driving high-visibility programs and activities in accordance with the mission and goals of the organization, as well as developing new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization. Strong communication and public speaking skills, dynamic presenter both in small and large group settings. Passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion. Ability to work evening and/or weekend hours. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required Excellent communication and customer service skills over the phone, in writing and in person. Excellent computer skills. Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment. Sense of humor, flexibility/adaptability, and ability to problem-solve in the moment.
