Location: Oklahoma Children's Hospital
Shift Available: Saturday, Sunday + additional shift during the week. 7p-7a (36 hours/week)
Pediatric Medical Unit is a 40 bed fast paced pediatric medicine floor with a 4:1 patient ratio with occasional 3:1 ratio on stepdown patients. A few examples of stepdown patients are high flow nasal canals, home vent/trach, and specialty infusions. A few pediatric specialties that may be seen on the unit is GI , Nephrology, Neurology, and Pulmonology.

Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate from an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
Experience: N/A
License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Current RN License issued by the Oklahoma State Board of Nursing, or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC). Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required upon hire. PALS (American Heart Association) required within 6 months of hire.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques and procedures. Ability to organize, plan, coordinate and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques. Ability to maintain good working relationships with other employees. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to respond effectively to cultural and language needs of patients and visitors. Some computer skills. #CB
