Wayne General Hospital is seeking a candidate for the position of CEO. The potential candidate should possess the following skills.
· Should have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree; a master’s degree in Healthcare Administration is preferred.
· Have a deep understanding of the healthcare industry and its regulations, as well as an awareness of the specific challenges facing rural hospitals.
· Experience in financial management, including budgeting and forecasting, as the CEO will be responsible for ensuring the hospital’s financial stability.
· Have excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal skills.
· Must be able to develop and execute strategic plans that ensure the hospital’s long term success, including adapting to changes in the healthcare industry.
· Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements, especially those specific to rural hospitals.

Wayne General Hospital opened its doors in 1951 with 30 beds. Demands for hospital services increased and in 1962 additional beds and expanded ancillary services were added. In 1977, a new facility was completed at its present campus location.
Today the hospital with modern equipment, expanded services and specialized personnel has the ability to provide more medical services to the people of this area. This facility is licensed for 80 beds and currently operates 49 of those beds that offers the following services:
Hospital Services include – General Acute Care including Intensive Care, Obstetrics, Medical & Surgical, Swing Bed, Laboratory, Rehabilitation Therapies (Occupational, Physical, Speech), Emergency including level IV trauma, Ambulance including advance life support, Radiology, Surgery, Diabetes Management Program, and Respiratory.
Clinics – Surgery Clinic, Rural Health Clinics, School Clinic
Other Outpatient Services – Home Health, Hospice and Wellness Center, and Wound and Infusion Clinics
