Job Description

We are now offering a sign-on bonus of $7,500 to external hires! 32 hours to include one weekend shift Working under the direction of the CT Manager and CT Clinical Director, the CT technologist is responsible for performing all technical procedures within CT as described in the DFCI Imaging Policy Manual. All CT technologist positions include the responsibility of the delivery of safe and effective imaging procedures, participation in departmental education programs, participation in organizational and departmental goals and priorities and active involvement in Quality Assurance/Quality Improvement (QA/QI) activities. Each CT technologist position requires a close working relationship with Imaging professional, nursing, and technical staff, as well as with providers, investigators, and their staff. The CT technologist will work to create and sustain a culture that fosters excellence, impact, and discovery of innovative and novel approaches towards the eradication of cancer and related diseases. Must be a graduate of an accredited imaging technology program (e.g., Radiography, Nuclear Medicine) One to two years hospital-based experience preferred Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License/Radiography/CT category Current Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License/CT category or must obtain within 1 year of hire Current ARRT Radiography (RT-R) registration Current ARRT CT (RT-CT) registration or must obtain within 1 year of hire Current BLS certification or must obtain an active BLS certification within 90-days of hire KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills to effectively work with peers, leadership, faculty and various teams. Knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook Strong customer service skills and the ability to interact professionally with peers, leadership, and external contacts. Must possess the ability to maintain confidentiality and be detail oriented. Excellent ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through. Be able to work independently and/or with a team in a fast-paced environment. Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize workload.
