Transport and/or assist with transportation and transfer of patients, as necessary. This person is responsible for obtaining beds, stretchers, transporting or transfer of patients as well as assisting with movement of equipment and preparation of the operating/procedure rooms as directed. Interact with patients, family and visitors of all age groups. The transporter may be requested to assist with cleaning of operating and procedure rooms.

High School diploma or GED. Ability to accurately and carefully move equipment in order to transport patients throughout the facility. Ability to follow oral and written instructions and effectively communicate with customers. Ability to follow applicable regulations, policies, and/or procedures. Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays. Ability to adapt procedures, processes, tools, equipment, and techniques to accomplish the requirements of the position.
