Job Description

Patient Experience Representative serves as a liaison between patient and medical support staff. This position greets patients, instruct and directs patients and visitors, receives all co-payments/ payments, issue receipts, and handles medical records request and the faxing and mailing thereof.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Answering multi line telephones
  • Takes messages, provides information and directs calls throughout the office
  • Collects all demographic and insurance information on new patients with accuracy
  • Updates demographic and insurance information when required
  • Schedules and reschedules patient appointments as required
  • Greets patients in a courteous and helpful manner
  • Scans all medical charting information into computer to make available for physician viewing in a prompt manner
  • Copy/print medical records and fax or mail as appropriate
  • Open, sort and distribute mail
  • Prepares daily payment packet for the Central Billing Office with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Travel to and fill-in at other Solutions clinics
  • Apply DRH Standards of Behavior and exhibit behaviors consistent with DRH core values.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

 

Shift: 1

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8a to 5p, 80 hrs pp

Qualifications

Must have High School Diploma or GED. Medical clinic experience preferred. Ability to apply the skills of self-motivation and project development. Ability to read, interpret and apply policies, procedures and legal requirements. Ability to exercise initiative, judgment, discretion and decision making consistent with organizational objectives. Proven ability to analyze and solve problems to deliver results. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as interpersonal skills necessary to successfully represent the department and organization at all levels, internally and externally. Excellent computer skills, knowledge of software with willingness and initiative to learn. Familiarity with standard office equipment. Requires prolonged sitting, lifting, bending , stooping and stretching. Ability to handle multiple tasks in timely manner.
