General Description:
Under limited supervision, monitors hospital alarms for critical environmental and emergency systems, processes emergency codes, and takes all maintenance dispatch calls. Answers all incoming calls to the hospital and directs calls to the appropriate department. Operates and monitors hospital wide computer monitoring systems, responds and communicates to others as appropriate, and maintains records. May train and mentor less experienced team members.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: None required. Associate’s Degree in relevant field such as Information Technology or Telecommunications preferred
Experience: Successful completion of OU Health Communications and Systems Monitor Tech training program OR two (2) years customer service experience in a call center or other relevant position OR one (1) year of experience in a computer-based hospital communications related position OR one (1) year experience working with a BAS system of similar complexity
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
