Job Summary: Performs a broad range of laboratory tests and procedures and serves as resource in area of responsibility. Employs thorough knowledge of clinical theory and technique and a broad use of independent judgment and responsibility with minimum supervision.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from a recognized college or university. MT (ASCP) registration or equivalent. At least two years of medical laboratory experience. Thorough knowledge of laboratory testing procedures and equipment. Considerable skill in performing various lab tests. Considerable ability to deal tactfully with nursing and medical staff. Good customer service skills. Ability to use independent judgment. Considerable skill in planning, organizing and teaching.
