| Job Summary | The Behavioral Health Counselor will provide direct clinical counseling to help children and families deal with various personal, social, and mental health issues, such as depression, unemployment, domestic abuse, and illness, through individual and family counseling. This individual will work closely with providers to provide patients and families a comprehensive mental health evaluation and treatment plan. The BHC will provide timely and effective support to patients facing mental health emergencies using evidence-based screening tools, risk assessments, and clinical interventions for children and adolescents. The BHC will help patients cope with suicidal behaviors by safety planning, minimizing stressors, offering emotional support, and improving coping strategies during crisis situations. |
