| Shift | This position is a swing shift. A swing shift means you would primary work dayshift with one shift being an evening/night shift (every other week) Week 1: Thursday, Friday, & Saturday 6:45am – 7:15pm Week 2: Sunday 6:45am – 7:15pm and Wednesday 6:45pm – 7:15am Pattern: Week one you would work Thursday, Friday and Saturday dayshift. Week two you would work Sunday dayshift and Wednesday night shift. Then you will be off for 7 days returning to week one pattern. |
| Job Summary | The Patient Access Representative is responsible for providing registration activities for UKHealthCare patients including patient arrival, patient registration, ; collection and verification of demographic information and insurance/payer source information and correction of registration errors; patient complaints; as well as maintain HIPAA compliant and comply with all UKHC policies regarding patient privacy and confidentiality. This position will also participate in unit and Enterprise activities to improve efficiency, quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Candidates must be able to handle a high stress and fast paced working environment. Please apply for any and all positions you feel qualified. | Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The ideal candidate will be customer service oriented; possess patient registrationand health insurance knowledge; have the ability to multi-task with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail; proficient in Microsoft Office, to include Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel; excellent communication skills (both written and verbal); solid time management, critical thinking, follow-through, and planning and organizational skills are all critical to the success in this position and a high level of respect for confidentiality is a must |

| Preferred Education/Experience | 4 years of healthcare customer service experience preferred and previous experience working with patient scheduling is highly preferred. |
