| Job Summary | The ESH Pharmacist Manager is directly responsible for day to day operations for the Pharmacy Services, the pharmacy supervisor and pharmacy staff. Serves as a mentor by role modeling a professional practice consistent with organizational goals, customer service, clinical effectiveness, and standards of care. Oversees the development and implementation of programs to assure the safe and effective use of pharmaceuticals. Oversees integration of performance improvement initiatives and measurement with accreditation and regulatory processes, goals and objectives, standards of care, and pharmacy and other policies and procedures. This position will contribute toward all signature metrics, particularly financial and quality management, fiscal responsibility, revenue cycle management, and cost containment. This role will also integrate systems with UKHC pharmacy and pharmacy processes, as applicable. There is an IEBC being considered. |
| Skills / Knowledge / Abilities | The employee shall become familiar with HIPAA regulations and do their utmost to protect all protected health information (PHI) and other personal or sensitive information within their trust in the course of state business by applying appropriate safeguards and sharing only the information required to deliver agency services. Any personal or sensitive information overheard or seen by the employee will be kept confidential by not sharing it with others, on or off the work-site grounds. Fully participate in all activities regarding the elimination of the use of seclusion and restraints in patient care including educational requirements, competency development activities, and meeting established performance goals and measures. Must have computer competency in approved systems. Must have excellent customer service skills. |

| Preferred Education/Experience | Completion of a Doctoral Degree in Pharmacy (Pharm D) or equivalent plus five years experience and be a licensed pharmacist. |
