Job Summary: To perform various non-invasive vascular examinations in order to assess for vascular disease. Operation of ultrasound equipment including two-dimensional imaging, Pulsed Doppler and Color Flow Doppler. To educate and prepare the patient for the exam, maintain vascular accreditation requirements and when necessary, assist with invasive vascular procedures.
Qualifications:
- Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) required.
- At least six months experience preferred.
- Considerable skill in performing various vascular ultrasound examinations.
- Ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment/examinations are introduced.
- Ongoing participation in continuing education.
- Ability to work closely with physicians and ancillary staff.
