The Ohio State University Hospital has been named one of “America’s Best” by U.S. News & World Report for 12 years. In addition to our state-of-the-art facilities2 and services, we have some of America’s best physicians, nurses and medical technicians. University Hospital facilities2 include the Doan Hall Maternity Center (featuring a Level III neonatal intensive care unit), the nationally acclaimed Dodd Hall rehabilitation facility, and a Level I trauma center. University Hospital was also designated a Magnet hospital in early 2005 by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Out of nearly 5,000 hospitals in the U.S., less than 150 are Magnet organizations. University Hospital is the first in central Ohio. It's the highest award a hospital can receive for outstanding nursing services. The award recognizes expert patient care, ongoing training and continuing education, teamwork, community involvement and attention to overall patient needs within a nurturing environment that attracts and rewards outstanding nurses. The Magnet Award means that our nurses are among the best to be found anywhere.
