Under the direction of the Practice Manager and Physician, the Licensed Practical Nurse, participates in a variety of routine clinical tasks including quality assurance, preparing patients for the physician and assisting with examinations and any special procedures as requested.   REQUIREMENTS   Prepares charts for provider Escorts patients in order of scheduled appointments from the waiting area to the appropriate exam room Records vital signs, review patient history, reviews previous information in patient’s chart to ensure all ordered tests results have been received, takes chief complaint and assures patient has been appropriately prepped and is ready for the physician Specimen collection (phlebotomy, biopsies, cultures) labeling and completing lab requisition forms Assists provider with examination, minor surgical and special procedures as needed Order and document prescriptions, new and refills, according to the provider’s specifications...
